Our Founder: Zafar Yaqoob
Opure was founded by Zafar Yaqoob, a researcher, field explorer, and educator with over seven years of hands-on experience working directly with natural raw materials.
Zafar’s journey didn’t begin in an office it began in the remote Himalayan regions of northern Pakistan, where he travelled extensively, met traditional collectors, and studied how mineral-rich substances like Shilajit naturally form in rock crevices. Through this fieldwork, he witnessed firsthand how shortcuts, excessive heat, and poor handling can destroy the integrity of natural products.
After facing repeated quality issues and misinformation in the market, Zafar made a decision: control every step of the process or don’t sell the product at all.
In 2019, Opure was born with a commitment to purity, education, and transparency. Zafar also shares his research and field experience through the Kaiam blog, helping customers worldwide understand what authentic natural products really look like.
