How long does shilajit take to increase testosterone?
In a placebo-controlled, randomised, double-blind clinical study, researchers tested Purified Shilajit on healthy male volunteers between the age of 45 and 55. These men took a dose of 250 mg, twice a day, over a treatment period of 90 days. This study aimed to observe Shilajitβs effect on the androgenic hormone profile, especially testosterone.
After consecutive use for three months, the results were quite promising. Shilajit was shown to significantly increase both total testosterone and free testosterone levels, as well as dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEAS). These improvements were clearly better compared to those taking the placebo, showing that purified shilajitΒ may have genuine effects when it comes to male hormonal support.
Another important finding was that gonadotropic hormones such as LH and FSH were well maintained throughout the study. This indicates that Shilajit did not disrupt the natural hormone balance but instead supported it within a safe range, staying true to its Ayurvedic roots as a rasayanaβa rejuvenator of the body and mind.
